We're looking for enthusiastic, outgoing volunteers, who love working children, to welcome new families into our centre, act as their ‘buddies’ and ensuring they feel welcome and safe.

You would also help all the children with the activities during the sessions, and support parents and carers in establishing friendship networks during the play sessions. You will receive ongoing training and advice from our dedicated team of play workers and management committee members, who are always on hand to offer guidance. You don’t need any specific qualifications but you will need to be able to deal with people from different backgrounds and have a non-judgemental approach.

As part of our 'Reaching Out' project, we'd ideally like volunteers to help out for six hours a week, but any time you can give would be gratefully received.

We particularly welcome individuals from the borough ethnic minorities especially Asian and black African/Caribbean.
