As a registered charity, the Walthamstow Toy Library has an elected board of trustees. The trustees are responsible for controlling the work, management and administration of the charity on behalf of members.

Meet our trustees:

Read Baurtally – Read is our treasurer, a government finance professional and chartered management accountant. He lives in Walthamstow with his wife and daughter and loves cycling, cooking (and eating!) and trying to get better at French.

Kate Boyle – Kate is a lawyer, currently working in television production, but previously worked in a variety of legal and compliance roles in government, at the BBC and at Transport for London looking at governance, policy development and implementation and ensuring legal compliance across outsourced service providers. She became a Toy Library trustee because she’s such a big fan and is a regular user of its services.

Noella Gooden – Noella is an Australian qualified lawyer with experience in the private and third sectors. She has been a trustee of the Toy Library since 2018. Noella has a particular interest in reducing waste and plastics. Noella is also a mum to a 4 year old boy.

Natalie Sleigh – Natalie joined the Board of Trustees in March 2020. She is currently Head of Special Events at Terrence Higgins Trust and has worked in fundraising for the past six years. She lives in Walthamstow where she frequented the Toy Library with her toddler many times over the past few years before joining the board.
