Volunteer with us

We continue to offer a volunteering programme. This year we have worked closely with Waltham Forest College, providing work experience for Level 1 and 2 Childcare, Health and Social Care and Public Services students.  We have also supported Leyton Sixth Form College and Waltham Forest Business  Education Partnership, providing work experience placements for local schools.

What does volunteering involve?

The roles available include supporting staff with the planning and delivery of play sessions, maintaining the space and equipment, gardening, event management, communications, admin and finance.

We always need people to help out at play sessions, maintain the garden and equipment, create display boards or help prepare craft activities.

We also need one-off volunteers to help out at all our fundraising events, including the May Fair and Santa’s Grotto; from taking tickets, to helping on a stall or even baking cakes and biscuits. It all helps!

What can you get out of it?

  • boost confidence and self esteem
  • improve physical and/or mental health
  • connect with others
  • support families in the area and give back to the community.
  • develop career prospects
  • receive high quality training in areas including health and safety, early years education and safeguarding, where funding permits

How do I apply to be a volunteer?

Please fill in the volunteer interest form and email it to our Director who will get in touch to arrange an informal interview.
