Session Volunteers

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run our play sessions on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and afternoons and Thursday mornings. We ask volunteers to commit 3 hours a week and training will be given. Please see Helen (E17toylibrarymanager@gmail.com) our Centre Manager for more information and an application form.

Easy Fundraising

Do you shop online? If the answer is yes, then please visit Easy Fundraising www.easyfundraising.org and register your details; support Walthamstow Toy Library and Play Centre; shop with over 2,700 retailers and help us raise money. It’s really easy! We have just received a cheque from Easy Fundraising for £16 – whoohoo we hear you cry! With Christmas coming up, we would love to double this.

Heuristic Play

We would like to refresh our heuristic play sessions and treasure baskets. We need old keys, mirrors, metal chains (the sort the police hand out to strap your purse into your bag!), wooden and metal utensils. Please drop these off at the Toy Library.

Yoga sessions

Our lovely yoga teachers are now taking bookings for their January classes.

Contact Sam Syer on 07783 658 883 for the Integrated mother and baby yoga class, held on Mondays 1-2pm.

Contact Sam Wood on 07733 330171 for ante-natal yoga, held on Monday evenings from 7-8.15pm.

You can find more information about the classes on our website.

Wingfield Park

If you enjoy using Wingfield Park and would like to have a say in its future, you are invited to join the Friends Committee. We meet a few times a year, organise small but fun events, and generally help improve and maintain the park. The Friends of Wingfield Park has been instrumental in the park's refurbishment, its lovely dragon and the beautiful mural, and we need new members to keep the good work going. For more information contact the chair, Sarah Herbert, on sherbert3@mac.com. Thank you!
