The Walthamstow Toy Library and Play Centre is run by a volunteer Management Committee of local parents and carers. The Committee is open to all members of the Centre and new recruits are always very welcome.

Baby Session
Led by experienced playworkers, these twice-weekly sessions are scheduled alongside the baby clinics at Comely Bank. They enable the babies to play safely through the use of various sensory-based toys.

They also provide parents and carers with an all-important opportunity to find their feet with their new babies, meet each other and to relax in a friendly environment. Babies are of course welcome at all other sessions, with a separate area of the room set aside for them to play safely.

Support and Information for Parents and Carers
Informal advice sessions are held on subjects such as breastfeeding, parenting and working families. Sessions vary throughout the year.

The Centre is also a supportive environment for parents and carers to discuss issues more informally with each other.

Art Shop
Our Art Shop stocks the essential ingredients for being creative at home, at reasonable prices. (All proceeds raised are used to support the charitable activities of the centre). Sugar paper, paints, crayons etc. are available, as well as glitter and sequins for the more adventurous.
